USB-C Cable

  1. My dog chewed on my USB-C to USB-C cable and I bought a replacement Amazon Basics one (short - 15cm) which was going to be quite convenient for my use as an external monitor. The cable didn't work. I assumed it is because I need a special cable.

What spec cable do I need?
Is there a short cable for me to use (the original one is of great quality but it is a bit too long for my liking)

You don't need a special cable,
you need a true USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 10Gbps bandwidth cable that could carry video signal and charging.
    for example:

P.S. The Amazon Basics cable won't work because it's not a real Gen 2 cable.
