Hi, I am trying to connect "Huawei Mate 20 Pro" using provided c to c type cable but unfortunately am seeing the error "Connection error, your cable may be faulty" I tried with 2 other cables and am still seeing the same issue. I have also tried with other "Huawei Mate 20 Pro" phone and I see the same issue Kindly help
We don't have mate 20 pro here but with the p20 pro running the latest emui, the compatibility is ok. Have you enabled the charging output? (should be on by default)
Hi.. can you kindly let me know where the "charging output setting"?, is it in phone or in the Monitor? cant fine anything like that in Mate 20 PRO.. it'll be great if you can please post a pic of the setting
Hi, there is no such option in the Menu (I am referring to the quick-start guide as I cant find a full-fledge user-manual) Can you please help?
Press and hold down the top button at the right-hand side of the monitor = charging output shortcut the first 2 buttons allow you to navigate between these options, and the 3rd button is the "Confirm" button. 4th button is the "Exit" button in the menu.
"Connection error, your cable may be faulty" <-- could this be the true answer your phone is telling? Maybe it's really a faulty cable? For your information, there are many different USB-C cables, e.g.: Charging only cable (up to 3A) Charging only cable (up to 5A) Charging and data cable (up to 3A and USB 2.0 400Mbps) Charging and data cable (up to 5A and USB 2.0 400Mbps) Charging and data cable (up to 3A and USB 3.0 5Gbps) Charging and data cable (up to 5A and USB 3.0 5Gbps) Charging and data and video cable (up to 3A and USB 3.2 10Gbps) Charging and data and video cable (up to 5A and USB 3.2 10Gbps) Thunderbolt 3 cable (up to 5A and 40Gbps data and video) What we have included with the monitor is (8), you need at least (7), (8) or (9) in order to get video from a phone.
Sorry for missing this post, charging is ok does not necessarily mean that it's capable of video transfer.
