Hi there, I'm new here, my plan is to purchase a W10 remote for my new Win10 based HTPC. I had bad experience with other (non-Win10 specific) remotes, therefore can somebody tell me please, is there any way to -re-programming one or more button on W10 remote to another key? ie. when I press the ESC button on the remote, Windows should recognize it as Alt+Up. Is there any built-in re-programming tool, or I do need to use 3rd party app to re-write a button? If yes, can somebody recommend any good and proved tool for this purpose please? Thanks for any comment!
Re-programming is not supported by this product. The "Esc" key of our remote is the same command as "Esc" of a standard keyboard.
Check out Autohotkey, it should be able to do what you need. I used it to change File Explorer button to middle mouse button. If I remember correctly I might've written a small tutorial on this forum.
