WARNING: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/30148/Intel-Graphics-Windows-10-DCH-Drivers The current version is quite buggy and has hotplug issue at HDMI input: Please stay away from this build.
Should have checked before putting it in the machine. Remote access worked so I tried to fix the problem by deleting some intel stuff as suggested in a windows help center. Hope springs eternal. Now no remote access either. Does the ubs c port still yield a video signal such that a usb c to HDMI cable will get me back in the "windows broke it again face off"? So remote access is back on a reboot. The listing for monitor is non pnp and thus is not connecting. The Driver is 27.20.100.9466. Prior to the update the monitor was listed on the device monitor list. Bought a ubs c to hdmi cable. Worked. The monitor was added to the list. How do I get my HDMI port back? Thanks
Now I am using the display port for the monitor, so I have the USB C ports for external drives. So. Turn off WIFI connection to net? Delete the driver? Install drivers from the downloaded update file, which I have already? or Leave the net connected and let Windows directly intsall the drivers. If I delete the driver using the device manager will I still get a video feed on the display port? Thanks..
